Re: thoughts; are urologists crooks; fatigue

TONYTHETIGER 2003-07-01 15:05:39

I have a lot of fatigue, but almost all of my fatigue results from chronic
fatigue syndrome. I don't believe urologists are crooks. My urologist
never tried to minimize my symptoms. If yours did, dump him and find a good
doctor. Don't generalize from one jerk to all urologists. I have respect
for those who go to med school, serve a residence and start earning at an
advanced age. You couldn't pay me to do their job. Unfortunately, there is
no treatment that comes with a 100% guarantee. If you can get a better deal
somewhere else, go there.

I just finished reading two studies, one of identical twins that
come to the conclusion that fatigue and joint pain stem from the
prostatitis. Your "CF" may be caused by your prostatitis, not a
separate entity. They know what causes prostatitis, they just
haven't got off their lazy, uncreative butts and found an
effective treatment, other than making one impotent/incontinent
with their "fixes". Sorry, but I'm pissed. These guys are so
fucking smart that all they can do is guess and write script for
drugs that do nothing other than make one poor and may even elicit
other diseases, such as autoimmune responses. What's the
difference between these uros and quacks. Quacks offer bogus
treatments too. If the percentage of success among uros for this
malady were applied to most professions, you'd get fired or no one
would patronize your services. Trouble is we are stuck with these
bozos and their quackery.

Question, do you have the journal references? I'm always interested in new
information. I had a friend who had prostatitis. He was cured by
anti-biotics though it took his doctor over a year to figure it out.

Derek, he was cured by anti-biotics. At first he didn't think anything was
wrong getting up six times a night. He just put up with fatigue until his
wife talked him into going back to the doctor.

Name the antibiotic please because we all want that "magic pill". The simple
truth is that antibiotics do not get into the prostate well and don't have
much of a chance of doing a great deal though admittedly they help for a
while. The downside is that taking antibiotics constantly lowers your
ability to be helped for some other sort of infection you may get in the
future. You are much better off only taking antibiotics for prostatitis as a
last resort when things get too bad.
