Please spell out acronyms the first time used in a thread!

This is a great newsgroup, but frustrating for the occasional reader. All
those acronyms! PVP, TURP, TUNA, etc. Is there no group FAQ? Where can I
get these defined? My special need right now is to have PVP spelled out.
Even good old http://www.acronymfinder.com and http://www.onelook.com/ fail
with that. PVP Please?

A FAQ (sorry, frequently asked questions!) might be a good idea, but who
is going to do it?

I suspect your next question will be for a list of those who have had a
successful PVP. There is one somewhere.

Then there's....oh, don't ask! The regulars will know what I am talking
about.

And when you talk about TUNA please specify chunk light or albacore.

The link below doesn't mention PVP but it covers most of the acronyms in
discussions of various treatment options. There are plenty of sites
covering BPH and most of them cover what would go into a FAQ.

PVP = Photoselective Vaporization of the Prostate; Google search under
Niagara PVP and/or Laserscope (the company that makes the equipment). I
think the site is www.laserscope.com.

A FAQ would be helpful, but requires a volunteer abd the knowhow to post it.
