Wearing contacts occasionally or all day?

I got contacts several months ago to help improve my vision (I fly
airplanes), but my vision isn't necessarily that bad. I basically
can't read small print across a room, etc. but up close is fine. My
question is, does it effect my vision any (for the worse) if I wear
contacts all day long? I mostly only notice when I'm driving that I
can see clearer now, but working at a desk all day barely improves my
vision.

Dear Friend,

Subject: Keeping the minus contact off -- unless necessary.

There are pilots and second-opinion optometrists who
recommend reduced use of a minus lens. Here is
some commentary for your interest.

As anybody on this forum will tell you, you're best off ignoring Otis.

He's not a doctor, though he did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Dear Otis,

That website and your website ( http://www.myopiafree.com ) helped
clear my vision from 20/60 to 20/15 a few years ago.
Thank you very much, Otis, for all your help.

Best regards,

Soon

P.S. I have created a website to help enlighten other people.
