Senator Rick Santorum

Well Sen. Santorum SUPPORTS medical malpractice caps be placed on pain &
suffering for $250,000. OK a point we have to look at and do some serious
debating. BUT....

Senator Santorum's WIFE had and 'issue' with a Chiropractor and SHE and the
good Senator sued the Doc for MORE than $250,000 for the PAIN & SUFFERING
Mrs. Santorum SUFFERED from the Chiropractor's APPARENT malpractice.

BUT for us peasants we NEED those malpractice caps. BUT Senators' needs are
different?

I don't know about the case you cite, or if it's even true.

However, Santorum, you, and I all are all equal under the current
malpractice laws. From your description thewy received an awqard that
was legally allowable.

If malpractice caps are legislated, he, you , and I will still be
equal in the eyes of the law. We will all potentially receive awards
that are less than before.

So where is the inequity against which you rail? Is he exempting
himself from future limitations?

A cap of $250,000 does not lower liability insurance rates by
themselves. If the other 99% got even their costs covered,
insurance rates would go way way up. That is why there is NO
no-fault insurance in medical care, and morbidity and mortality
discussions are secret. They are secret because they are aimed
at making sure no one knows what goes on.
