Novocaine ointments/gels

I have been unable to obtain on Rx, either Xylocaine Ointment or Xylocaine
Gel for over 18 months now, nomatter how many different pharmacies I have
tried. I CAN get it in Hospital though - but only as an In-Patient.
Can anyone reccomend any other brand of Novocaine ointment plese?
I use it for ano-rectal purposes.
I am diabetic with severe anal fistulae which simply refuse to close and
when waste matter touches them, I am in terrible pain.
Also looking for a supplier of a Higginson's Syringe if anyone can helkp
with that matter too.
